Book your private afternoon tea online for any special occasion.
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, hosting a family get-together, marking a celebration of life, or organising a baby shower, our beautiful upstairs Dovecote is the perfect setting for a small and intimate gathering.
We cater for 10 to 20 guests. If your party is smaller than 10 or larger than 20, please get in touch with us directly and we’ll be happy to discuss your options.
When booking, all we need to know is whether anyone in your party has any allergies or dietary requirements and you are all ready to book your event.
Booking is as easy as…
Step 1: Choose how many guests will be attending.
Step 2: Select your preferred date using our online availability calendar.
Step 3: Pay your 50% deposit to secure your booking.
Step 4: Invite your guests.
Step 5: Confirm your final guest numbers and pay the remaining balance one week before your event.
Step 6: Arrive, relax and enjoy your afternoon!

What’s Included?
Each guest receives:
Unlimited tea
3 sandwich fingers
1 scone with jam & clotted cream
1 thick slice of cake
1 tray bake
We also provide takeaway boxes, as we know there's plenty to enjoy!
Can We Choose What's Included?
To keep bookings simple, we provide a carefully selected assortment, including:
A selection of cakes
A variety of tray bakes
Plain & fruit scones
Freshly prepared sandwiches on white & granary bloomer bread
Our standard sandwich selection is around 60% meat and 40% vegetarian unless requested otherwise in advance.
How Long Do We Have the Room?
The Nest is available from 1:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays, giving you time to decorate before guests arrive.
Guests usually arrive from 2:00pm, with exclusive use until 5:00pm.
You're welcome to decorate the room, but please don't use confetti or candles.
Where Is The Nest?
The Nest is upstairs in our historic Dovecote, originally built to house doves and pigeons for Cams Hall House.
Please note access is via stairs only, and we currently do not have disabled access.
Is Parking Available?
Yes, we have plenty of free weekend parking.

Can We Play Our Own Music?
Not currently, as our sound system doesn't support guest music.
Do We Serve Ourselves?
Yes. Food is presented for your group to help yourselves, while your server will take drink orders and bring them upstairs.
To keep your celebration private, we'll only return if needed—simply ring the doorbell and a member of the team will be happy to help.
Can We Bring Our Own Celebration Cake?
Absolutely! It wouldn't be a birthday without one.
Can We Rearrange the Tables?
We'd prefer that tables remain as arranged, as moving them can disturb guests downstairs. The layout is designed to comfortably accommodate 10–20 guests with plenty of space to move around.
